First Southwest Community Fund’s Azarel Madrigal, Acting Executive Director and Program Director , and Yani Rodriguez, Success Entrepreneur Coordinator, were recently selected as participants in Uncharted’s 2022 Economic Inequality Co-Lab.

Madrigal and Rodriguez were selected from a pool of 344 applicants for the six-week program, which aims to support early-stage ventures, such as First Southwest Community Fund, tackling economic inequality in the U.S.

“I am super excited to embark on this journey with Uncharted. I am looking forward to the content, support and most importantly the network of like minded individuals striving to address economic inequality,” said Ms. Madrigal

Participants in the program will work through Uncharted’s proprietary curriculum, engage in workshops, and collaborate with a peer support community. When the program concludes, they will have the opportunity to apply to Uncharted’s signature Economic Inequality Initiative or similar accelerator program for additional support and resources.

“I am looking forward to all the great workshops but most of all the community and economic building workshops. These workshops will help me be better prepared in my current role with First Southwest Community Fund as we work on developing other programs to better serve our communities,” said Ms. Rodriguez
