Tanya is responsible for creating and implementing FSWCF’s programmatic strategy, fundraising for programs, creating partnerships and ensuring a high standard of delivery across all programs. Born and raised in Colorado, Tanya has generational roots across the state, including the San Luis Valley and Durango area. As a Latina, she is passionate about advocating and supporting rural minority communities which started when she was CEO and Director for the Colorado River Valley Chamber of Commerce, representing three rural regional communities in Western Colorado where she started bilingual outreach. Most recently she was the Colorado Outreach Manager for the national organization Small Business Majority. She brings decades of experience working in banking, higher education, marketing and management which all enhance the value she brings to her work to develop educational resources relevant to entrepreneurs across the state. In today’s evolving business environment, she constantly pursues solutions for small business needs. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, grandsons and family. She is a “foodie” and loves cooking, trying new cuisine, reading, traveling, hiking, antiquing, going to concerts, volunteering and playing with her three spoiled dogs and brood of chickens.
