The LAUNCH (Loan Assistance Unpacking Nonprofit Challenges) Fund is a partnership between First Southwest Community Fund and The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado. The LAUNCH fund is an impact investing fund designed to provide access to capital for nonprofit organizations through microloans. The LAUNCH Fund aims to facilitate the growth and effectiveness of philanthropic contributions and expand giving to meet the needs of our communities. In short, the LAUNCH Fund offers affordable financing options to nonprofit, and also provides donors with a sustainable way to donate money to support nonprofit activities that can continue to be reinvested. It also provides an avenue for The Community Foundation to invest donations locally, rather than having to invest outside of our community to get the needed return for its donors.
Who can apply?
Any registered nonprofit located in the five-county area (La Plata, Archuleta, San Juan, Montezuma and Dolores) are eligible to apply.
How much money can I apply for?
Loans are made in the range of $5,000-50,0000. If you need more than $50,000, we are able to partner with First Southwest Bank to offer additional capital.
What can I use the money for?
Loans are designed to enable nonprofits to sustain or expand their activities, facilities and impact.
The LAUNCH Fund was made possible by donations from private local philanthropists who are excited to see their money go further than a regular nonprofit donation. If you are a donor interested in supporting the LAUNCH fund, please contact Briggen Wrinkle at [email protected].
