National Small Business Week is celebrated during the first week of May and takes place from April 28th through May 4th this year.
During National Small Business Week, we wish to recognize the incredible hard work of the small business owners we are so proud to invest in. It is their tireless energy starting, sustaining, growing and expanding their business that results in jobs created and retained, which lead to economic growth in our rural communities.
Did you know?
- There are 33,185,550 small businesses in the United States.
- Small businesses employ 61.7 million Americans, totaling 46.4% of private sector employees.
- From 1995 to 2021, small businesses created 17.3 million net new jobs, accounting for 62.7% of net jobs created since 1995.
