Impact and Operations Manager

First Southwest Community Fund seeks an Operations and Impact Manager to join our team to ensure two main workstreams: 1) enhancing FSWCF’s operations via work on internal and external policies, processes, and tools, and 2) assessing and articulating the impact of FSWCF’s activities and research funding. The successful candidate will lead and support the optimization of systems and infrastructure, translate organizational data to support decision making, and provide operational assistance to other teams to improve their functionality. The impact work will involve using and improving internal processes to track the results and impacts of FSWCF’s grants, loans, and reporting out on this information across the organization and to stakeholders.

The position requires excellent interpersonal and writing skills and a high level of organization. and focus and an ability to work under tight deadlines. An ideal candidate may have experience in some or all of the following: nonprofit management, business, performance measures, project management, strategic planning, and data analytics. Experience in Federal Funding application preferred.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations and Impact Manager will work closely with the Executive Director in research, communications, development, grants management, and other areas.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and implement robust impact measurement system for FSWCF to measure impact of programs and optimize the performance metrics framework: Track and measure impact of FSWCF portfolio.
  • Translate performance measures of the organization into relevant, useful information for research and submission of new grant opportunities and critical information to the Executive Director and FSWCF Board of Directors.
  • Implement impact measurement tracking software (e.g. Portfol, QuickBooks, among others) to comprise and submit grants reports to funders in a timely manner.
  • Compile annual impact survey with all FSWCF customers including impact assessment survey and interviews. Coordinate with marketing the design and implement methods to communicate stories of impact including annual impact report, customer stories, and programmatic highlights.
  • Implement and oversee impact tracking system for grant recipients. Assist with creating strategy around grants to maximize financial impact to grant recipient customers (RBDG, RMAP, Emergency Grants etc.).
  • Support Executive Director efforts to develop and refine organizational strategies and track progress on the organization’s strategic plan through data management, analysis and policy development and implementation.
  • Develop and implement efficient internal processes to facilitate information flow and improve project management across the organization.

Secondary Duties:

  • Analyze and develop organizational operations and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee grant processes and administration of funds to customers.
  • Provide material and coordinate with FSWB marketing department monthly public, board, and staff newsletters.
  • Provide administrative assistance including scheduling, organization and other duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in this field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, including demonstrated analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Understanding of the strategic planning process and the alignment of performance measures with a strategic plan.
  • Strong written communication skills that are clear and concise.
  • Experience working with financial institutions, nonprofits, and other entities.
  • Ability to work professionally and collegially within a creative, fast-paced culture that emphasizes excellence and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated time and project-management skills, including an ability to meet multiple deadlines by maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision; Flexible with the ability to take initiative, prioritize and manage multiple projects.

PAY RANGE: $26.56-31.25/hour

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.  Depending on location and time of year, extreme high and low temperatures within the building will be experienced. This is a remote position with some travel required.
