Intermediary Relending Program

Program Details

The Intermediary Relending Program (IRP) provides fixed rate loans to businesses in rural communities that create jobs. For each proposed IRP project, First Southwest Community Fund will evaluate the benefits to rural development at large, the partner organizations that can assist, and the impacts that can be tracked as a result of the investment.

Program Goals

  • Encourage economic development by providing funding for small businesses and agricultural producers that may not qualify for traditional financing.
  • Support projects that provide vital community infrastructure and technology, leading to new businesses and job creation.
  • Alleviate poverty in low-income communities by providing opportunities for additional jobs.
