Impact and Operations Director

FSWCF is a 501c3 nonprofit that supports the dedicated entrepreneurial spirit of rural Colorado, by investing in the people, culture and ideas that fuel innovation and financial knowledge in our community, with an emphasis on areas of greatest need. FSWCF was founded in 2015 by First Southwest Bank (FSWB), one of Colorado’s two CDFI banks, to be a gap-funder that provides access to capital for those who would not otherwise be able to secure it.

As FSWCF has grown, we have seen the need for more equitable and inclusive access to capital for our rural entrepreneurs and business owners. We strive to provide a range of innovative financial services including loan and grant programs to enable them to succeed and improve quality of life for our communities. Currently, FSWCF serves all of rural Colorado with a focus on Southern and Southwestern Counties.

First Southwest Community Fund seeks an Impact and Operations Director to join our team during an exciting time in the organization’s growth. This position focuses on two main workstreams: 1) enhancing FSWCF’s operations via work on internal and external policies, processes and tools, and 2) assessing and articulating the impact of FSWCF’s activities and research funding.

The successful candidate will lead and support the optimization of systems and infrastructure, translate organizational data to support decision making, and provide operational assistance to other teams to improve their functionality. The impact work will involve using and improving internal processes to track the results and impacts of FSWCF’s grants, loans, and reporting out on this information across the organization and to stakeholders.

The position requires excellent interpersonal and writing skills, a high level of organization and focus and an ability to work under tight deadlines. An ideal candidate may have experience in some or all of the following: nonprofit management, business, performance measures, project management, strategic planning, and data analytics. Experience in Federal Funding application preferred.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Impact and Operations Director will work closely with the Executive Director in research, communications, development, grants management, and other areas.

This is a part-time (30 hours/weekly) remote position with a STRONG preference for candidates located in Southern or Southwestern Colorado, Rural Colorado.
